Session Description

Making College Accessible and Affordable for Undocumented Students

Undocumented students, including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), are constantly in fear of what might happen next but the state of New Jersey is providing some financial relief and support by making college accessible and affordable. Legislative laws such S-2479, better known as the NJ Dream Act, and S-699 offer students in-state tuition to NJ state schools and NJ aid. In addition, these legislative laws have opened up the doors for students to apply to the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program. Discuss the latest in how higher education officials can assist our undocumented students to successfully navigate and finance their higher education.
